Micro-Epsilon launches surfaceCONTROL 3D 3560 for fast 3D measurement
The surfaceCONTROL 3D 3560 combines 3D acquisition and evaluation in one unit for automated surface inspection.
Micro-Epsilon introduced the surfaceCONTROL 3D 3560 on 2 October 2026. This 3D snapshot sensor combines acquisition, processing and evaluation in one unit. According to the manufacturer, it processes the 3D data internally and sends the required measurement or inspection result to the machine controller, reducing data transfer and the need for a separate evaluation computer.
The manufacturer specifies Z-axis repeatability down to 0.25 µm and lateral resolution down to 8 µm, with PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and UDP interfaces. Performance depends on the model and measurement conditions; the configuration should be selected using the relevant datasheet.
