Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
Instruments such as SmartBalancer are designed to balance a rotor in its installed machine. Safe access, suitable measuring points and a means of correcting unbalance are still required.
No. The instrument measures vibration and calculates a correction for balancing in existing machinery. A balancing machine also provides rotor supports and a drive arrangement. Choose according to where and how balancing will be performed.
It relates vibration phase to rotor position for correction-angle calculation. Select a suitable reference pickup alongside vibration sensors.
No. Rotor speed, commonly expressed in rpm, differs from acquisition rate and measuring-instrument bandwidth.
No. Envelope analysis and advanced diagnostics can be additional packages. Check features and licensing for the instrument configuration.
Record vibration, amplitude and phase through correction steps. Suitable equipment can retain reports with initial and final spectra.
