No. Sensor protocol, data format and the supported-model list must also match. RS422 specifies an electrical interface and alone does not establish data or software compatibility.
The base card captures four digital sensor signals and two encoders. With IF2008E, the combined system supports six digital sensors, two analog sensors, two encoders and I/O. Expansion channels are not a base-card-only capability.
No. Baud describes communication; measuring/output rates describe measurements. Message format, channel count and protocol affect useful measurement throughput.
When a voltage/current-only sensor must provide digital data. IF1032/ETH includes analog inputs, while IF2001/USB converts RS422 data.
When several sensors calculate one result on a moving/changing target. Verify synchronized acquisition, not merely that all sensors connect to the same PC.
A suitable acquisition device is required. For example, IF1032/ETH provides analogue voltage and current inputs and transfers data to the network. Match signal type, input range and acquisition rate; an RS422-only adapter does not replace an analogue input.
