The power amplifier supplies the power signal to the sound source or loudspeaker. For example, HBK 2755 also integrates a signal generator, inputs and an audio interface. Select the combination for the test, sound source and required signals rather than treating amplifier and loudspeaker as the same component.
No. Also check load impedance, output mode and continuous or duty-cycle operating conditions. The HBK 2755 manual lists different power ratings for different conditions. Do not present a single power value without its conditions or approve a match solely from the larger number.
On HBK 2755, Line Out provides a low-level signal to external equipment, while the sound source connects to the appropriate power output. Check the loudspeaker or connected system input type and connection diagram. The two outputs are not interchangeable.
It depends on the model and workflow. The HBK 2755 manual describes front-panel operation and an optional USB computer connection. Version 2755 also supports Wi-Fi control, whereas 2755-A uses front-panel controls without Wi-Fi. Check the selected device version.
If interference or hum occurs, check source type, wiring and grounding. The HBK 2755 manual describes balanced and unbalanced inputs and recommends a balanced connection for the stated BNC ground-loop situation. Select the cable using the source and input diagrams, not connector type alone.
Record system connections and signal and output settings. HBK 2755 allows presets to be saved and loaded, and the manufacturer describes controls intended to help reproduce test setups. Restoring settings does not replace checking the sound source, wiring and actual test conditions.
