Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about our products and services

No. MULTICOR S uses Coriolis measurement with a rotating wheel; MULTISTREAM G measures force as material is deflected along a measuring chute.

Not necessarily. MULTISTREAM G becomes a feeding system when paired with a controlled prefeeder. Flow measurement and feed regulation are separate functions.

No. MULTICOR S uses Coriolis force to measure mass flow. The manufacturer states that its signal remains proportional to mass flow despite changes in bulk density or grain size. Material suitability still needs assessment.

The manufacturer specifies non-impact measurement: a measuring chute gently deflects the material stream, avoiding the inclusion of material-dependent impact factors in the result. This distinction matters when choosing the measurement principle.

Qlar lists throughput and consumption measurement, grain flows in mills, additives and raw materials, and batching or loading stations. Define the task to select the flow meter and any associated feeding equipment.

Application-specific designs are available: Qlar mentions special MULTISTREAM G versions for hot materials. Confirm the temperature and configuration for the application rather than extending a special-version rating to all models.
