Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about our products and services

Check preamplifier, powering and polarization requirements. LAN-XI distinguishes CCLD from microphones requiring 200 V polarization, according to module and panel.

Excitation-based testing also requires a suitable signal source. For example, LAN-XI 3160 combines inputs and generator outputs for audio and electroacoustic tests.

Fan noise near a microphone can add to the measured acoustic environment. The described LAN-XI modules are fanless, while placement and installation still require planning.

Inputs must match the recording system. For example, LAN-XI 3058 is described with CCLD and configurable AES3 support for HATS systems.

Yes, with a suitable module. LAN-XI 3057 supports bridge transducers and their excitation alongside other input modes. A microphone input is not automatically suitable for a bridge signal. Select the module, wiring and excitation accordingly.

In LAN-XI, red can indicate overload or a cable, transducer or conditioning fault, while yellow indicates TEDS transfer. During Notar recording, purple indicates an overload that occurred in the recording session. Interpret the indication according to the manual rather than relying only on a signal that looks normal at the end.
