Micro-Epsilon launches wireSENSOR K140: a draw-wire sensor with up to 12 m measuring range
The longest range in the K series, in 140 × 140 × 99 mm.
On 4 November 2026 Micro-Epsilon introduced the wireSENSOR K140, a draw-wire displacement sensor with a measuring range of up to 12 m, the longest in its K series with plastic housing. At 140 × 140 × 99 mm it fits applications that need a long measuring range in limited installation space.
The glass-fibre-reinforced plastic housing is designed for industrial and outdoor use and protects against dirt and moisture. The manufacturer states an operating temperature of -40 to +85 °C. Typical applications include boom extension on mobile cranes and telehandlers, and elevator technology.
The sensor also targets series production and OEM projects, and is available as an analog version (current, voltage or potentiometer) or as a purely mechanical version.
