Type 4958 serves precision measurement arrays with amplitude and phase matching, extending frequency coverage compared with Type 4957.
Free-field response is specified at ±2 dB from 50 Hz to 10 kHz, and ±3 dB from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, relative to 250 Hz.
TEDS includes the microphone complex transfer function, enabling supporting software to use the individual unit amplitude and phase corrections.
It includes a CCLD DeltaTron preamplifier and an SMB connector for a detachable cable. Signal, power and TEDS data share the coaxial cable.
The sheet specifies 140 dB SPL at total harmonic distortion below 3%. Guaranteed inherent noise is separately specified below 28 dB SPL with A weighting.
