Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
It measures sound pressure in small spaces, very close to a sound source or at points inaccessible to a conventional microphone.
The rating up to 700 °C applies to the tips of the 100 or 200 mm rigid probe tubes, not to exposing the entire microphone body to that temperature.
Longer rigid tubes increase high-frequency roll-off. Individual microphone calibration uses a 50 mm tube; changing the tube requires the corresponding response to be considered.
Yes. Flexible tubing improves access to awkward locations but changes frequency response. The manufacturer instructs users to calibrate the microphone when using flexible tubing.
The microphone includes a preamplifier and requires 200 V polarization. Connect it to a microphone input supplying the appropriate power and polarization.
