It combines eight dynamic analogue inputs with two independent CAN channels, allowing measurement signals and vehicle-network data to be acquired together.
No. They are CAN communication channels, separate from the eight analogue inputs. They must not be counted as equivalent analogue sensor inputs.
Four of the eight inputs can be configured as two balanced AES3 inputs. This is an alternative configuration, not an addition to eight simultaneous analogue inputs.
The manufacturer lists high- and low-speed CAN, OBD-II and J-1939. Check configuration and connection requirements for the particular vehicle system.
The product datasheet specifies DC to 25.6 kHz analogue input range and a 65.5 kHz analogue sampling rate. These are different quantities; AES3 sampling frequencies are specified separately.
