It enables simultaneous testing of left and right earphones, with a switch routing the generator signal to the left, right or both.
The panel includes a 2×100 mW amplifier and 1 V/A load feedback on channels 3 and 4, supporting acoustic and electrical tests.
UA-2118-022 fits 3160-A-042 and provides a 6.35 mm stereo TRS socket alongside 2 microphone LEMO inputs with 7 pins.
The TRS connector can introduce significant series impedance. The manufacturer recommends compensating for its contribution when it is part of the measurement path.
Its switch routes Generator 1 to the left, right or both earphones. The both-earphone position does not create two independent generators; select a supporting system configuration if each side needs a different signal.
