ILR1171-125

Measuring ranges by target type
White target with 80% reflectance: measuring distance 0.2–125 m; net measuring span 124.8 m.
With ILR-RF250 reflector film measuring 250 × 250 mm: measuring distance 0.5–270 m; net span 269.5 m. Reflector operation is a separate target condition.
The achievable range depends on target reflectance, ambient light and atmospheric conditions. Source: Micro-Epsilon English International specifications.

The specified range ends are 70 m for black targets at 10% reflectivity, 100 m for grey at 40%, and 125 m for white at 80%. The start is 0.2 m, giving a 124.8 m net span on white. With reflector film the interval is 0.5–270 m. Ambient light and atmospheric conditions also affect usable range.

No. The table lists linearity below ±60 mm and repeatability below 25 mm. The manufacturer specifies ±100 mm linearity and ±50 mm repeatability at distances up to and including 1 m and from 70 m inclusive. The smaller errors must not be applied to the entire measuring interval.

The specified measuring rate is 40 kHz and the resolution is 1 mm. Rate describes measurements over time, while resolution describes distance-value discrimination. A 1 mm resolution does not establish 1 mm linearity or accuracy.

The specification lists RS232 and RS422, a scalable 4–20 mA analogue output, and configurable switching outputs. Supply and signals use a 12-pin M12 connection. Cable or adapter selection must match the model and pin assignment, rather than the connector name alone.
