Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
Motion pulls a measuring wire attached to a drum. The drum drives a sensing element that generates a displacement-related signal. Range, output type and mechanical limits are separate selection criteria.
No. The catalogue includes potentiometers, voltage and current outputs, encoders and bus interfaces, but availability depends on family, range and order code. One model interface must not be inherited by the entire catalogue.
No. Resolution, linearity and acquisition-electronics performance are separate specifications. For encoders, also match signal type and output resolution to the model.
Check permissible wire acceleration and extension/retraction forces. MT, MPM and MP/MPW address high acceleration, but limits still vary by model and option.
No. The bus cycle describes data transfer; mechanical and electrical performance are specified separately. For example, the catalogue lists different cycle times for EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP.
