A controller processes the head signal for its sensing technology. An adapter such as IF2035 connects RS422 or RS485 to Industrial Ethernet in supported configurations. A communication adapter does not replace a controller required by the head.
Do not infer that from the connector. The IF2035 family provides PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT connections according to model. Select the documented adapter code and protocol.
No. IF2035 documents RS422/RS485 connectivity, while IF1032 also provides analog inputs with their own resolution and rate limits. Evaluate the required signal path, not just its network output.
The optoNCDT catalogue documents a processing unit for two measurement signals. It can complement a sensor-combination application, subject to the supported sensor models and processing function.
Check the head, controller, adapter input and output. For example, IF1032 analog inputs have their own documented conversion rate. Sensor rate alone does not establish the complete path’s rate.
