Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about our products and services

PROFILE provides calibrated profiles for external software. It is not the SMART version for autonomous dimension evaluation.

They are the x points per profile. Z linearity is separate and field-dependent; point count is not directly equivalent to micrometer accuracy.

No. Z start, middle and end vary by model. X field width also varies across z, so check coverage throughout target movement.

Relative movement and suitable position information, plus processing software or a system unit as required. One profile is not a full 3D snapshot.

Ethernet/GigE Vision and documented power methods include PoE. Select wiring for profile data, without automatically assigning SMART outputs.
