It is a piezoelectric accelerometer with an integrated amplifier for turbines, pumps, compressors and other rotating machinery. Hazardous-area use is subject to the marking and certificate.
It uses a two-contact MIL-C-5015 connector: A carries signal and current supply, B the return. It needs 2–10 mA constant current, nominally 4 mA, and an approved intrinsically safe circuit in a hazardous area.
Sensitivity is 10 mV/g at ±5%. At 4 mA, ±500 g requires voltage above 24 V; the range is ±400 g at 20 V and ±200 g at 18 V.
The manual lists EL2075-S and EL2157-S cables with heat resistance of at least 130 °C. The lower limit is −40 °C for EL2075 and −55 °C for EL2157; also check chain capacitance.
No. IP66/IP67 and the general operating range do not override Ex temperature-class limits. Match temperature, cable and interface to the exact certificate.
