Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
The manual lists combined sensor-and-cable capacitance by length. Check the complete configuration against intrinsically safe circuit limits.
Length alone does not establish this. Every extension and connection component adds capacitance or inductance and must be checked against the interface and certificate conditions.
The manufacturer requires electrical and mechanical protection for the cable and every extension, with routing that avoids crushing, vibration wear and insulation damage.
Maintain cable and terminal identification from measurement point to monitoring electronics. Wire the intrinsically safe circuit according to the relevant connection drawing.
The manufacturer instructions require replacement of the complete sensor and prohibit opening it to repair the cable. A replacement or measurement-chain change also requires checking electrical compatibility and the new configuration Ex conditions.
