In the reviewed datasheet NEXUS is a conditioning amplifier with an analogue signal path. Its processor handles control, display and interfacing; that does not turn the measurement signal into a digital sample stream.
The family is described with one to four independent channels, potentially combining acoustic and vibration inputs according to the selected modules.
The manufacturer describes reconfiguration of existing units and optional channel filters. Check the upgrade against the installed unit and channel configuration.
Depending on configuration, the source includes charge transducers, microphones, CCLD devices, voltage inputs and sound-intensity probes. These are family options, not capabilities included in every unit.
RS-232 supports PC control of setup and test functions. IEEE 1451.4 TEDS provides electronic transducer data. The control interface is distinct from the analogue measurement output.
