Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
It excites small structures for resonance tests, mechanical impedance and mobility measurements, and modal analysis where low force and portability are needed.
No. It has a battery-powered internal amplifier. The external excitation signal enters through a BNC connector at the bottom.
The manufacturer specifies 45 Hz to 15 kHz. Available force varies with frequency, so use the force-versus-frequency curve to select an operating point.
A force transducer is not included. Select a suitable transducer to measure excitation force; the manufacturer lists Type 8230 as an optional example.
Yes. It can be fixed in position and connected to the structure through a force transducer and stinger. Hand-held tests use the appropriate supplied probe tips and test pins.
