It is a portable vibration-analysis and temporary-monitoring system for rotating and reciprocating machinery, such as during startup, shutdown or after maintenance. It uses VC-8000 monitoring modules and SETPOINT CMS.
The documented configurations provide 4–24 channels. Each UMM supports up to 4 inputs for compatible sensors or process signals, according to configuration.
No. It can store data locally without a connected computer, or stream to an external computer or AVEVA PI. SETPOINT CMS provides viewing and diagnostics.
Compatible protection-system buffered outputs can connect through BNC and the documented cabling. Match module input mode and impedance to the signal type.
The portable setup software does not provide many protection functions, including relays. For protection-system use, the manufacturer specifies the VC-8000 setup and maintenance software and manual.
