Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
The catalogue specifies 2112 points for 8200, versus 4224 for 8500. Also compare field width and linearity.
Yes. It is laser-line scanning. A surface cloud combines successive profiles and relative movement; this is not a 3D snapshot sensor.
The family provides calibrated data for external evaluation and SMART programs configured in 3DInspect. Select the operating mode and corresponding interface.
The table uses the Micro-Epsilon reference target and averaging across the 2112-point measuring field. It is not automatically a per-point specification for every surface.
Provide suitable heat dissipation and cooling. Optional active cooling changes ingress protection to IP40; temperature limits depend on the thermal installation.
