Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
No. Measuring range concerns the target. Ambient limits concern the sensor head and controller and can differ from each other. Check all three conditions for the selected configuration.
It describes measurement spot size relative to target distance. It is not temperature accuracy. Match the target size to the documented measuring spot and aiming conditions.
Not necessarily. thermoMETER UC range depends on optics; extension to 1000°C is an SF22-only option. Check the exact model code.
No. Response time describes the temperature signal’s response; data output rate is separate. Do not automatically convert response time into Hz.
Match spectral band, target emissivity and window transmission. Use appropriate material properties and the pyrometer instructions.
Detected radiation also depends on surface emissivity, so a different material or finish can require another setting. thermoMETER UC offers emissivity calculation under suitable conditions; verify the setting against a reference temperature and the application conditions.
