No. Its page, for example, lists up to 6 kHz. Each DS/TH system needs its own rate, head, material and operating-mode checks.
No. Light-spot size determines which lateral details contribute to the measurement, separately from distance-axis resolution. For example, IMS5400-DS has a documented 10 µm spot; do not apply that value to every interferoMETER system.
