Answers to the most common questions about our products and services
Yes. Confirm that the controller and software support the required test. For example, LDS COMET USB supports random, swept-sine and shock tests.
Channel count is a hardware characteristic. COMET USB, for example, is specified as a two-channel controller; a different count requires checking the selected model.
No. COMET USB supports TEDS for transducer information and provides a test-setup wizard. The test profile, control points and conditions still need to be defined for the test item and system.
Yes, when the controller supports them. HBK describes multipoint control, limiting and analysis for LASER USB. Define each channel role and its limits for the item and fixture. Connecting transducers alone does not configure protection.
Some systems provide dedicated options. For LASER USB, HBK describes an Amplifier Controller option for an LDS SPA-K amplifier and a Chamber Interface option for supported climatic chambers. Check compatibility and licensing for each component.
LASER USB provides reporting from the control environment. Define which results, channels and test conditions must appear in the report so that the result can be interpreted and the setup reproduced.
